How to Pack Up Your Classroom with and End of Year Guide to Packing Up Your Classroom.

You were probably never told that the way you pack up your classroom determines how easy or hard your next school year will be.

Packing, the wrong way, eats away at your time, energy, and money.

Packing, the RIGHT way, helps you manage your classroom from the first days of school through the entire school year.

Do you pack up your room with no rhyme or reason, because there are many other responsibilities to take care of at the end of the year?

Do you just get it done because you know the faster you pack the sooner you can get started with your summer?

I sure did!

The packing gets done.  Then you return to school for a new year and you’re feeling awesome about all the possibilities.  You jump in… on fire… ready to tackle whatever comes your way!  By Day 2 you realize you’ll have to make a few adjustments to your initial plan.

The problem is that your hopes, dreams, and positive attitude have to match up to your huge workload.  The challenges of planning, teaching, disciplining your students, and managing your classroom space often leave you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, disorganized, frustrated, and even resentful.  The resentment comes from continuously having to put in so much of your own personal time and money.

I’ve been through all of these challenges and I now help teachers who are having the same struggles.

The challenges of teaching come from many places, and chief among them is your classroom environment.

Learn how to pack up your classroom at the end of the year and you’ll find that next year’s classroom management is faster and easier.

POSTER STORAGE BAG
How to Pack Up Your Classroom involves several steps and chief among them is storing all your stuff.  Practical and inexpensive storage will help you make quick work of getting organized for next year. In the End of Year Guide to Pack Up Your Classroom I mention using a vinyl tablecloth to make a poster storage bag. These vinyl tablecloths are $3 to $4 at your local dollar store.

All you need is a TABLECLOTH, DUCK TAPE, RULER, PERMANENT MARKER, SCISSORS and a POSTER.

1 – Unpack and unfold
2 –
Turn tablecloth inside out so the backing is facing you
3 – Use a poster as your guide for steps 4 and 5
4 – Measure and place 1-inch marks along each seam of the tablecloth
5 – Use a ruler and draw a straight line that connects the 1-inch marks
6 – Cut the tablecloth to size
7 – Use duck tape to tape the seams closed
8 – The duck tape should run around all the seams of the tablecloth
9 – Turn tablecloth inside out so the cover-not the backing is facing you
10 – Trim the seams with duck tape – this is extra reinforcement for your poster bag
11 – Insert your posters
12 – Store or Display Your Pretty Poster Storage Bag
